Amiah was born in Yankton, SD to Bethany Drapeau and Roger Houseman, Jr. She entered into this world on the early morning of April 5, 2013. Her father then chose her middle name, MorningStar. She was 5 lbs. and 12 oz. and 19 inches long. The second she took her first breath of air, she was placed into her Dad's hand and was a Daddy's Girl ever since. She also considered her Papa Big Rog as her second Dad and had him wrapped around her finger. Amiah is best known for being kind-hearted and high-spirited. She was very generous and quick to share with her sisters.
Our baby girl had a short, but eventful, life. She was very smart for her age. She enjoyed putting together 100 piece puzzles at the age of 3. She like to bead, dance and sing. Amiah loved playing with play dough, putting on make-up, and collecting fake and real money. Amiah also enjoyed coloring, making slime, playing games and making Youtube videos with her sisters on her IPad. Amiah was especially competitive when it came to sports and outdoor activities. She liked to go swimming, bowling and watching movies at the theater. She like to relax by cuddling with Mom and Dad and watching her favorite Netfix and TV shows.
Amiah's unexpected departure will be engraved eternally and she will be missed greatly. She leaves behind her parents, Bethany Drapeau and Roger Houseman, Jr; her sisters who were her best friends: Braylyn, Kaymari, Kayden, Shylah, Annalyssa, Arionna, Hapun, Kamea, along with her big brothers: Terrell, Jordan, Mason, and Gabriel. She is also survived by niece Anavey and nephews Terrell, Jr., Gionni and Stryker; her maternal grandparents: Darrell Drapeau, Donna and Vernon Chopper; Paternal grandparents: Roger and Donna Houseman, Sr; Aunts and Uncles: John and Alicia, Jessica, Dawn, Eugene, Larry , Ronnie, CJ and Waylon; and many other cousins and aunts and uncles.
