Anna Selwyn passed away on May 10, 2023 in Yankton, SD. Funeral services will be at 10 A.M., Saturday, May 13 in Lake Andes at the White Swan Community Center. Burial is in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Lake Andes. Wake services will begin Thursday, May 11, at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes.
Anna Marie Selwyn was born on April 7, 1996, to Shelbourne Selwyn and Jodi Mae Dion at the Scared Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. Anna was raised on the Yankton Sioux Reservation most of her childhood. Anna attended Andes Central Public School here in Lake Andes. She loved playing basketball as a point guard and volleyball as a setter. Anna worked at the Lake Andes nursing home at the age of 15 years old. She started out in the laundry room and then she worked her way to be a CNA. She loved working with her residents. She then met her husband Myron Lee Rainbow Jr, the love of her life. Anna and Myron Jr. moved to Sioux Falls for a year then moved to Mitchell which they called home. Anna and Myron Jr. had their first daughter My' Anna A' Dream Rainbow on June 4, 2016. Two years later they had their first son Myles Hurcules Rainbow on June 14, 2018, then Myka Norman Rainbow and a baby girl Myra Margaret Rainbow. Anna was a quiet, tiny, well-mannered child. She was a very good relative, she loved being out to the country (Grandpa Andy"s) running the countryside. Anna loved and enjoyed her children and her family.
Anna M. Selwyn is preceded in death by her brother Charles Louis Selwyn Sr., grandmother Juanita and Maggie, Grandfathers Vincent "Jay" and Henry "Hank", her husband Myron Rainbow Jr., and many more relatives.
Anna is survived by her mother Jodi M. Dion, father Shelbourne Selwyn, sisters Tayah M. Selwyn and Philomere Honomichl, brother Wakinyan "John Luke" Lesley, her 4 children My' Anna, Myles, Myka, Myra, and many many relatives.
