Arlene Grace Rouse
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, September 4, 2008 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lake Andes. Burial will be in St Philip's Episcopal Cemetery, Lake Andes. Wake services will be held Wednesday at the church. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Arlene passed away at the Lake Andes Health Care Center Monday, September 1, 2008 at the age of 72 yrs. She was born September 25, 1935 at home south of Wagner on what they called the Big Tobacco bottom to Ambrose Rouse & Grace (Atana) Rouse.
On May 17,1954 she married Greg Zephier to which no children were born to this union. In time she ended up raising one granddaughter Wileen Rouse. Arlene lived in the Lake Andes area all of her life.
She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal church. She loved to go to pow-wows and spend time with family. She was a very kind and generous person.
She is survived by her brother George Rouse and wife Aggie of Hopkinsville, KY.; sister Lillian Maxine Rouse of Lake Andes and Marcella (Rouse) Big Eagle of Fort Thompson.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents Ambrose & Grace (Atana) Rouse; two brothers: Ambrose Rouse Jr. and Donald Rouse; three sisters: Geraldine Rouse, Vivian (Rouse) Arrow and Genevine (Sister) Rouse Arpan.
