Baptiste Paul White Eyes, 28, of Wagner

Baptiste died Friday, April 22, 2016 in Sioux Falls. Funeral services are 2 PM, Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Wagner. Burial is in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Wake services will begin Wednesday at the National Guard Armory in Wagner.

Baptiste was raised in Marty, SD. He graduated from Marty Indian School in 2007. He was working at the Food Court at the Sioux Empire Mall at the time of his death.

His grandpa, Floyd Jandreau gave him the nickname "Shorty White Eyes". Baptiste was very polite and respectful to all. He will be remembered by his smile and joking ways. His passion in life was basketball and his three sons. He was also a role model for his nieces and nephews teaching them to play ball! He was a very loving, caring father that took care of his three sons: Owen, Baptiste and his baby Lawrence who is better know as L.D. His favorite thing to eat was cheeseburgers and cheese balls, which he always ordered.

Grateful for sharing his life are his parents, father, Ernie (Jeanette) White Eyes; mother, Adeline "Addie" Jandreau (Lyle Miller); sons, Owen, Baptiste and Lawrence White Eyes; brothers, Daryl Dwayne Jandreau (Sara Williamson), Ernest Gene White Eyes, Jr. (Lori Heminger), Joseph Wayne White Eyes, Sr. (Juanita Keeble), Lawrence David White Eyes (Casey Kills In Water) and Jacob White Eyes; sister, Lema Rose White Eyes; grandmothers, Gertrude Violet Jandreau and Crystal Bordeaux; at the time he also had a special friend, April "Cheeks" Old Lodge and many Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Baptiste is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Albert and Adeline (Archambeau) Jandreau; grandpa, Floyd Jandreau; uncles, David Darrell Jandreau, Lawrence Doley White Eyes and other relatives.
