Betty Hrdlicka, 75, of Tripp

Betty died Thursday February 2, 2023, at her home in Tripp. A Celebration of Betty's Life Ceremony will be held 11 AM, Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Wagner Lake in Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born on March 5, 1947, to Walter Sr. and Esther (Giedd) Stock in Avon, SD. She attended rural school and obtained her GED. She married Richard Hrdlicka on November 2, 1963. They had five children. She worked as a secretary for a local casino for over 20 years and retired in 2015. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with her family, friends, and puppies. She was well known for homemade meals. Betty was a very caring person who always wanted the best for others.

Grateful to have shared in her life are Richard Hrdlicka of Tripp, SD; her five children: Doug Hrdlicka of Tripp, Rodney Hrdlicka of Tripp, Tammy Hrdlicka of Armour, Brian Hrdlicka, and Machelle VanCleave (Steve) of Sioux Falls; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; her brother Gene; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers. **Machelle VanCleave passed away on May 2, 2023.
