Betty Raw "Noonie" Turner arrived September 5,1936 on a beautiful summer day at the family home south of Wagner. Betty was the oldest of 15 children born to Benjamin Richard and Hazel Mae (Gullikson) Weddell, Sr. Her siblings are: Dorothy, Shirley, Marilyn, Margaret, Mary, Eva, Rose, Carole, Benjamin, Jr., William , Larry Sr. James, Rodney and Michael.

Betty was blessed with three sons: Russell, Sr., William "Bill" and Myron; her grandchildren: Russell, Jr., Gregory "Goog", Richard, Audra Rae, Karl, Carly and Lisa; her great grandchildren: Russell III, Thadius, Mila, Janessa, Taylor Rose, Precious Lily and Desiree; and many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.

Betty began working after her sons were grown. She worked at Dakota Plains as a GED instructor. Her dedicated years at Marty Indian School earned her the Phil Lolli Award at the Ft. Randall Casino Hotel as a housekeeper and recently as a hostess.

Betty enjoyed working and being around people, bingo at the VFW, Video machines and chicken at K's Qwik Stop, watching Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune.

Betty suddenly became ill on June 10, 2008 and on June 13, 2008, the Lord decided her work was done and called her home.
