Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wagner, with burial in the parish cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be 12 noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner, followed by a 7 p.m. rosary/wake service at the church.
Betty Lorraine Yungbluth, daughter of Robert and Frances (Mann) Saltzman, was born December 6, 1929 at Sioux City, IA. She died Thursday, February 20, 2013 at the Wagner Community Memorial Avera Hospital. Betty attained the age of 84 years, two months and 15 days.
Betty attended Wagner High School through 1946. She married Don Yungbluth on May 23, 1950. Three children were blessed to their union. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker.
Betty was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, serving on the altar society and as a catechism teacher for 25 years. She also was a member of the Wagner Historical Society. Betty worked part-time for many years at the Wagner Announcer.
Thankful for having shared her life are her children: Don and wife Barb of Mitchell, Joni Rabenberg of Tea, and Linda Kesler and husband Boyd of Dodge City, KS; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother Robert Saltzman of Plainview, TX and sister Donna Rae Stullings of Nuevo, CA.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband on March 11, 1986; parents; and son-in-law, Gaylon Rabenberg.
