Blanche Medricky, 94, of Dante
Blanche died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at her home in rural Dante. Her funeral service will be 10:30 Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner, with burial in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.
Blanche Medricky was born June 16, 1920 in Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Paul) Bren. She died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at her home in rural Dante. Blanche attained the age of 94 years, nine months and 29 days.
Blanche was united in marriage to Joe Medricky on January 6, 1942. Together they farmed south of Dante. Joe died October 16, 1988.
Blanche was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Blanche will be remembered for her love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening and playing cards with neighbors and friends. She was also known as being a great cook and will be remembered for her Kolaches and Rohlicky.
Thankful for having shared her life are her three children: Carolyn Kranig of Cherokee, IA, Shirley and husband Rick Jorgensen of McNeal, AR, and son Ronald Medricky and fiancée Rhonda Bermudez of Dante; five grandchildren: Candy (John) Hahn, Tonia Zid, Melissa (Jon) Larson, Mike (Miranda) Medricky and Roger (Cassie) Medricky; 14 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Betty Bren of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Joe; two grandchildren, Cindy and Chuck Kranig; three brothers: Joe, Larry and Elmer Bren; a sister, Rose Sterba; and her parents.
