Bonnie Barrett, age 74 of Springfield, passed away on October 19, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall.

A private family interment will take place on Saturday, October 26th at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown. An informal Celebration of Life and Lunch will be at Country Inn & Suites 3400 8th Ave SE in Watertown from noon to 2 pm.

Bonnie Jean was born on June 21, 1950, to parents Norval E and Ada M (Grovenburg) Urban in Watertown, SD. She had one sibling, brother Lester. She grew up and did her schooling in Watertown.

Bonnie had three children: sons Kevin & Chuck and one daughter, Tami.

On July 28, 2000, Bonnie married Richard Barrett. They settled in Springfield, SD.

Bonnie was a diligent worker and took care of her family while working at various nursing home facilities throughout the years.

Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and her fur-baby, Petey. She loved it when her kids and grandkids came to visit. She would always have a wonderful meal and dessert prepared to feed everyone. She enjoyed playing cards and games with the family. The outdoors and planting flowers were other things Bonnie enjoyed.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Kevin (Susan) Lenards of Tulsa, OK, Charles (Shelly) Lenards of Watertown, SD; and her grandson, who she helped raise, Jordan (Katrina) Lenards of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother Lester (Marcia) Urban of Watertown, SD; and the Barrett family.

Preceding Bonnie in death are her parents Norval and Ada Urban and her daughter Tami Lenards.
