Brenda Sue Pisano, 36, of Springfield
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Springfield Community Bible Church in Springfield. Burial is in the Springfield Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Springfield from 7 to 8 PM on Tuesday, with the family present.
Brenda and her unborn child were unexpectedly called home to Heaven on Friday, June 7, 2013 near Tabor, SD, the result of an automobile accident. Brenda and husband Jim were joyfully expecting the arrival of another child in late November.
Brenda Sue Pisano "Pumpkin" was born on August 26, 1976 in Bloomfield, IA. She graduated from high school in Fairfield, IA in 1995. She received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA in 2011. She was currently studying for her South Dakota Nursing Board Exam to be an RN.
Brenda married James Pisano on November 23, 1997 at Four Square Church in Fairfield, IA. She worked as a CNA at the Sunny Brook Assisted Living Center in Fairfield until their family moved to Springfield, SD in July of 2012. She then worked at the Springfield Assisted Living Center and started working at the Good Samaritan Center in Tyndall in April.
Brenda will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her children. Her kids were everything to her and her main passion was any activity involving her kids and other children as well. She was a Cub Scout leader and coached children's soccer. Brenda also had a passion for helping others through nursing and would do anything to help friends. She was also known for always having apples in the kitchen and collecting and enjoying snowmen and dolphins.
Thankful for having shared her life are her husband, Jim and their three sons: Dakota, Trevor and Justin; two daughters: Amber and Serenity "Peanut", all of Springfield; father, Robert Smalley of Fairfield, IA; two sisters: Judy (Brent) Heisel of Stockport, IA; Robyn Smalley of Burlington, IA; brother, Ryan Smalley of Milwaukee, WI; uncle, Kenneth (Jean) Smalley of Bloomfield, IA and cousin, Stan (Mary) Smalley of Bloomfield, IA.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Dorothy Irene Pisano.
