Brian Rainbow, Jr., 18, of Lake Andes

Brian died unexpectedly at his home in Lake Andes on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Funeral services were 2 PM, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Cedar Presbyterian Church, rural Wagner with burial in the church cemetery. Wake services began Wednesday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Brian Allen Rainbow, Jr. was born March 29, 199 in Yankton, SD, the son of Brian Rainbow, Sr. and Rhea Ross. He grew up in Lake Andes, where he went to school and lived all his life.

He was diagnosed with cancer at a very early age. He battled leukemia and won thanks to a bone marrow transplant from his brother. He celebrated his victory in Orlando, Fl at Disney World. He was able to grow up and live his life as a normal kid.

Brian loved sports to the fullest extent. Most of all he loved basketball. He spent most of his time hanging with his brothers and cousins. To Brian, family was everything and he was proud of his family. Everyone knows that Brian loved to smile, laugh and make everyone around him laugh.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Faye Rainbow and uncles Burton and Richard Rainbow; one brother, Christopher Lee and one daughter, Mya Elizabeth Rainbow.

He leaves behind to mourn his parents, his brothers, one sister and many relatives.
