Cameron Rouse, 47, of Lake Andes

Funeral services are 10 AM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial is in St. Phillip's Episcopal Cemetery in Lake Andes. Wake services will be at 8 PM on Wednesday and Thursday at the White Swan Community Center. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Cameron was born at Wagner, SD, the son of Lillian Rouse and Norman Kelly of Lake Andes. He died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

Cameron graduated from Andes Central in 1988. He worked for the Mike Durfee Correctional Facility in Springfield, SD for 22 1/2 years. He was honored by the State of South Dakota for his years of service.

Cameron's favorite past time was hunting, fishing, cooking, canning, and helping with the garden. His favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and the Atlanta Braves. Everyone that knew him was teased a time or two. He was proud of his family heritage. He loved to hear his elders, uncles, nephews and grandsons sing. He spent many hours listening to "John Atana" and the boys.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ambrose and Grace Rouse, aunts, uncles and many other relatives.

He leaves behind to mourn his parents, his brother Keith (ALberta) Rouse of Pierre, SD; his two sisters, Terry (Keith) Grisham of Elizabeth, CO and Lynette Wulf (Randy) of Chester; close friend Victoria Holiday; and a friend that was dearest to him, Miss Emily Iverson.
