Carmel Flood, 70, of Wagner
Funeral services were 1 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wake services were held at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Carmel was brought onto the Turtle Island by William Flood Jr and Marie Heart Sargeant on June 8, 1945. Carmel died Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
Brothers are: Warren Flood of Wagner, William "Bugs" Flood of Marty, Charles His Law of Chamberlain; sisters are: Rita Flood of Wagner, Frances Hart of Marty, Julia Gonzales of Marty and Myra Flood of Chicago, IL.
Carmel received her AA degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell. She also attended Haskell Indian Jr. College in Lawrence, KS and was on the Dean's List for a 4.0 average. She loved to travel, resided on the East and West Coast (LA and Philadelphia). Slot machines at the casino became a favorite for her.
Carm is preceded in death by her father William Flood and Marie Heart Sargeant, brothers Benedict Sylvester Gonzalez and Regis Flood.
