Carol Breen, 82, of Wagner

Memorial services are 1:30 PM, Friday, January 30, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner.

Carol Jean Breen was born February 17, 1932 in Wagner, SD, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Dunsmore) Carda. She died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her home in Wagner. Carol attained the age of 82 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Carol graduated from Wagner High School in 1946. She married Robert Breen in Mitchell, SD on April 23, 1950. They lived in Sioux Falls until they moved to Wagner in 1976, where they owned and operated Bob's Place until August of 1984. They moved back to Sioux Falls, where Carol worked as a bus aide for special needs children in the Sioux Falls School District.

Carol will be remembered for her love of attending her grandchildren's sports and events, crocheting, reading, playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. She also loved family reunions and gatherings.

Thankful for having shared her life are husband, Robert "Bob" Breen of Wagner; son Patrick and wife Becky Breen of Wagner; daughter Sherri and husband Eric Bauman of LeMars, IA; her grandchildren: Savanah and husband Ryan Meyer and their son Sawyer; Mitch, Sydney, Olivia, and Jhett Breen; Benjamin and wife Melinda, Michael, Jack, and Sophie Bauman; brothers: Eldon and wife Jere of Sioux Falls and Dean and wife Pat Carda of Wagner; sisters: Connie Pesika of Wagner, Lona Holzbauer of Wagner, and Darleen Busch of Hillsboro, OR; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Joey.
