Cassie Greger, 69, of Wagner

Funeral services were 10:30 AM, Monday, December 5, 2016 at the South Housing Gym in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services were at 7 PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Gym.
Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Cassie Karen "Cass" Greger passed away on December 1, 2016 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner due to ongoing health issues. Cass was born July 8, 1947, to Fred and Ellen (Nelson) Greger in Wagner, SD. Cass grew up in Wagner with her four brothers and then went on to attend nursing school in Pierre, SD. After school, she returned to Wagner and was a nurse at the Good Samaritan Center. She also worked at the State Hospital and Sawdust Trail. Cass married Althabert Zephier and together they had twin daughters, Jody and Lolene, who passed away soon after birth. After divorcing Althabert, she was blessed with the birth of her only son, Waylon James Greger. In 1984, she met her soulmate and best friend, Richard Nyman. Together they raised Waylon in both Yankton and Wagner.

Cass was mom, grandma, and auntie to anyone who came through her door. She loved visiting over coffee and a cig. Her sense of humor was one of a kind and her laugh infectious. She loved telling stories and listening to Bob Seger. Cass's greatest joy in life was her large family, who will miss her and cherish their memories with her forever.

Cass leaves behind to mourn her partner Richard Nyman, her son Waylon Greger, the light of her life, her granddaughter Abijah Raine Bradshaw, her brother Dennis "Chalk" Greger, and countless nieces and nephews, who she considered her own.

Cass was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, her daughters, Jody and Jolene, her brothers Doug Greger, Leonard "Tyke" Greger, Ted Greger, and nephews Theron "Ralph" Zephier and Terry Zephier.
