Christina Carda, 91, of Wagner

Funeral services are 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in the parish cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 PM until 7 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.

Christina Mary Carda was born April 4, 1918 at Marty, South Dakota, the daughter of Emil and Mary (Petrik) Blazek. She died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner.
Christina attended Highland Country School near Marty. She married John Carda at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner on April 28, 1942. They lived in Wagner for four years before moving to the farm. They farmed west of Wagner until moving into Wagner in 1965. Christina also worked part time at Buches in the meat department for many years.
Christina was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Christina will be remembered for her enjoyment of sewing and gardening.
Thankful for having shared her life are three sisters-in-law: Vlasta Blazek of Wagner, Betty Blazek of Rapid City, and Mary Carda of Wagner; and several nieces and nephews.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Louis and Robert Blazek and a sister, Albina Blazek.
