Christine Patterson, 81, of Wagner

Christine died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were 2PM, Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Dante. Wake services were at the Legion Hall. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Christine "Grandma Nuna" Patterson was born March 18, 1929 to Elsie (Provost) and Phillip Patterson. Christine just celebrated her 81st birthday with family and friends. "Won" loved Bingo, cruising around and family gatherings. Everybody liked to tease her about being a co-owner of the new American Legion & VFW signs as an avid Bingo player.

Christine has two children of her own: Francis "Chucky" & Tammy and helped to raise Donnette & Galen Sr. (after her sister Susie passed away), Nate (her brother Bucky's son) and LaVonne (her brother Layton's daughter). Christine will be joining her parents Elsie & Phillip, sister Susie & brothers Donald Sr., Nathan Sr., Mark & Robert.

Leaving to mourn are her son Chucky & wife Sandy, daughter Tammy and husband Scott & grandson Korey, sister Phyllis and husband Doug Powers, daughter/niece Donnette & son/nephew Galen Sr. & wife Jen & kids Galen Jr. (Baby G), Janae, twinkies Genesis & Jerryn and O'Ryan.

One of the Golden Girls as quite a few people knew her, enjoyed life to the fullest and every moment God let her be with us. Christine lived life in the country working the garden & farms until she became a city girl working at Gurney's Nursery in Yankton and decided to work closer to home as a CHR. She then retired to become a full time Bingo Player & Grandma Nuna to Korey, Baby G, Janae, Jerryn, Genesis, O'Ryan, Cy, Juice and Anthony Wade.
