Christine Marie (Medicine Horn) Selwyn, 79, of Lake Andes

Christine died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Sanford Health Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial will be in the St. Phillips Episcopal Cemetery. Wake services will begin Monday, July 15, 2024 at the White Swan Community Center.

Christine was a strong Pipe Carrier. She believed in traditional ways and loved walking the Red Road. She was famous for her frybread.

She had a good heart and opened her home fro those in need.

She also loved staying up late playing dice with her Hunka Sister Theresa Hart.

Surviving her are Diane Houseman, Lawrence Kiyuken, Roy Ziegler, Wilma Wilson, Amy Lapointe; children: Kim Medicine Horn, Brook Medicine Horn, Paula Medicine Horn, Levi Medicine Horn, Lori Arcoren, Shelbourne Selwyn, Sheldon Selwyn, Sunnona Selwyn, Sloane Selwyn, and Christina Costello. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Christine is preceded in death by William "Bill" Ziegler, Francis Ziegler, Dianne Ziegler, Alden Medicine Horn, Louis Medicine Horn, Eunice Medicine Horn; children: Renee Medicine Horn, Chad James Medicine Horn; and Saxon Selwyn.
