Claudette Selwyn, 68, of Wagner
Claudette died Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Wake services were held at the YST Community Center in Wagner. Funeral services were 10 AM, Monday, May 4, 2015 at the YST Community Center in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Claudette was born in her home in Greenwood, SD to Moses and Zelma (St. Pierre) Zephier. She attended and graduated from Ravinia School in Ravinia, SD. Claudette met Alvie "Babe" Greger in 1967. Over the years of their union, 7 children were born and later adopted the granddaughter (Regan).
Claudette worked for Marty Day Care. After Babe's passing in 1988, she then gained employment with the Ft. Randall Casino, where she met Ronald (Jim) Selwyn. They were wed in September of 1995. Jim passed in 2002. Due to an accident, Claudette began living in the Wagner Good Samaritan Center in August of 2011.
She enjoyed her time going to church, word searches, playing bingo, cards and scratch tickets. But what brought her the most joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family gathering. Her spiritual belief kept her strong.
She is survived by her brothers: Jerry and Eunice Zephier and Althebert and Linda Zephier; eight children: Rosalind and Victor Rodriquez, Kevin and Kelly Greger, Dickie Greger, Quentin and Tina Greger, Rochelle Greger and Richard Hall, Effie and Carlos Reyes, Gerald Greger and Sara Hawk, Regan Greger and Wendell (Blue) Flying Hawk, Jr.; granddaughter Dakota Anderson, as she raised as her own; 41 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
