Coleen Kay Rezac, 73, of Sioux Falls
Graveside services will be 2 PM, Saturday, October 5, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Fellowship will be directly after the graveside service at Choteau Creek Brewing Co. 40228 296th St. Wagner, SD 57380.
Coleen Kay Rezac born June 24, 1951 to Bob and Phyllis (Burke) Rezac in Wagner, SD. She died August 27, 2024 in her home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Coleen graduated high school from East Charles Mix District #102 in May of 1970 and moved to California. She attended the Atlantic school in Inglewood and received an Airline Personal Training Certificate.
Coleen worked various places in California before finding her place at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. She worked there for many years in the billings department. In 1999, she moved back home to South Dakota. Once returning to South Dakota, she found her place at NCB Management Services where she worked up until her death.
Coleen loved her time in California with all her cousins, aunts, and uncles that became her second family. She followed the music scene avidly and the Doo Wah Riders was at the top of the list. She was their number one fan and became very close friends to the members of the group.
She leaves behind five siblings: Doug (Ly) Rezac of Aberdeen, SD, Pat (Ruby) Rezac of Jacksonville, FL, Denise (Dwight) DeVries of Yankton, SD, Lisa (Tim) Durst of Hills, MN, Pam (Jim) Fritz of Winner, SD; brother-in-law Gary Honner of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law Barb Rezac of Orlando, FL; 20 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews which she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents Anton and Ludmilla Rezac and George and Grace Burke; infant sister Barbara; sisters Lynette Honner and Cheri Ahrens; brother Dave Rezac; and niece Thera Ahrens.
