Craig Owen Kazena, 51 of Wagner

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church, with Deanna Stands, Mike Horned Eagle and Arlen Light Foot officiating. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Greenwood. Casket bearers were Marg Gunhammer, Elgin Kezena, Randy Franklin, Brent Cooke (Boogie), Todd Mathis, Earl Frederick, Joe Leighton and Rich Hall. Honorary bearers were Curtis Huapapi, Lawrence Leighton, Jay Covey, Jared Kazena, Evan Kazena, Richard Johnson (Nig), Troy Huapapi, Haze Gunhammer and remaining friends and family.

Craig Owen Kazena "Buck" was born on March 4, 1966 to Clarice and Fred Kazena. He died Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Craig lived in Charles Mix County throughout his life. Craig was the fourth sibling of five children. He graduated eighth grade at Marty Indian School.

Craig met the love of his life, Mary McBride in 1985. They raised three children together: Tierra "Tia", Cole "CoCo" and Clarene "Clare Bear". Altogether they have ten grandchildren.

Craig was a loving, caring, friendly person and had a great sense of humor. He loved being around family. Craig was a Kansas City Chiefs fanatic and loved playing darts. He had a dart team called the Chronic. Craig loved the colors red, lack and blue. He also loved to hang out with his sister"s friend "Snot Face" Jackie McBride.

Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Franklin; father Fred Kazena, Jr; his siblings: Bernard Kazena, Clinton "Chubbs" Kazena, Bonita Kazena, his love, Mary McBride; and his grandparents: Alice and Fred Kazena and Jennie Necklace and Josiah Franklin.

Craig is survived by his sibling: Bonnie Kazena (Evan), Greenwood, SD; his children: Tierra "Tia" Gunhammer (Haze), Cole "CoCo" Kazena, Clarene "Clare Bear" McBride, all of Wagner, SD; ten grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
