Cynthia LeRoy, 52, of Wahpeton, ND
Cynthia died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Memorial Services were held at 10 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021 at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Cynthia Ann entered the spirit world at the age of 53 on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND due to ongoing health issues.
Cindy was a kind, loving and compassionate woman who opened her heart and home to those who needed a place to stay. Her house was always filled with friends and relatives. They would spend the evening playing cards and dice, listening to music, laughing and having a good time.
Upon the passing of her older sister Wanda, Cindy took on the responsibility of raising Wanda's children Garret, John and Ceanne as her own.
In May 1999 Cindy married Michael Franklin and was blessed with two sons: Michael Jr. (19) and Brian Douglas (13). In 2019 Cindy and her boys moved to Wahpeton, ND where she lived at the time of her passing.
Cindy leaves behind five children: Deva Hambelton (30) of Greenwood, SD, Garret Patterson (29) of Wagner, Jon Hambelton (27) of Wagner, Ceanne Cooke (22) of Wahpeton, ND, Michael Franklin Jr. (19) and Brian Franklin (13) both of Wahpeton, ND.
She will be deeply missed by her sisters: Jean LeRoy (Fansisco Mendez) of Sioux Falls, SD and Renee Buchanan of Wagner; all her relatives and friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Mary Rose and LaVerne "Bill" Crawfords; brothers: Robert and Scott; her sister Wanda LeRoy; paternal grandmother Florence Crawford and maternal grandparents William and Ethel Selwyn.
