Danelda Van Duysen, 84, of Wagner
Private services are being held. Burial is in the Friedensberg Cemetery, rural Avon. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Danelda B. Van Duysen was born November 3, 1938 at Tripp, SD, the daughter of Edward and Cristina (Mudder) Lippert. She died Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at her home in rural Wagner. Danelda attained the age of 84 years, 1 month and 11 days.
Danelda was united in marriage to Frances "Fritz" Van Duysen on March 26, 1957 at the Baptist Church in Avon. Three sons were born to their union: Mark, Murlen and Michael (deceased).
Danelda loved to sing and she sang with Fritz for 60 years, accompanied by his sister, Rachel. She was active in the Friedensberg church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Bible School teacher, and on the serving committee.
Danelda will be remembered for keeping a spotless home. If she wasn't cooking and cleaning, you could always find her mowing the yard.
Thankful for having shared her life are her two sons: Mark (Joanie) Van Duysen and Murlen (Sandy) Van Duysen of Wagner; daughter-in-law Lori Van Duysen of Wagner; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and several other relatives and friends.
Danelda was preceded in death by her husband Frances, son Michael, grandson Casey, great grandchildren: Michael III and Josie; parents; 3 sisters: Marcella Voigt, Leola Lukkes, and Darlene Baumiller Zangle; 3 brothers: Elroy, Elwood and Eldean Lippert; brother-in-law John Van Duysen; and sisters-in-law, Josephine and Rachel Van Duysen.
