Daniel E. Irwin, 39 of Wagner
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Wagner, with burial in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery,rural Dante. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church, followed by a prayer service. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home of Wagner is in charge of the arrangements.
Daniel Edward Irwin, son of Mary (Havranek) Irwin was born May 2, 1977 at Armour, SD. He died unexpectedly on Monday, April 10, 2017 at his home in rural Wagner. Dan attained the age of 39 years, eleven months and nine days.
Dan attended kindergarten through 12th grade at Wagner Community School.
Dan devoted his life to the restaurant business. He started working at an early age, working with his sisters at Boom's and Pizza Ranch. Dan also worked at Fort Randall Bait & Tackle, Bryndy's, Cedar Shores, Valley Pump & Casino, Blue Moon and the Randall Hills Country Club, where he showcased his passion for cooking and bar tending.
Dan loved throwing darts, throwing bean bags, horseback riding and helping with cattle and farm work. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Thankful for having shared his life are his mother of Wagner; his siblings: Kristi (Tom) Zirpel of Parkston and their children- David (Alexis) Petrik, Shelbi (Chad Fox) Petrik and Coleten; Brad (Stacy) of Lake Andes and their children- Corey (Jill) Irwin and Becky (Alex Petrik) Irwin; Kerry (Brian) Cuka of Wagner and their children- Sereana (Tyler Van Duysen) Greger and Jackie (Jesse Chambers ) Greger; and Renee (Darcy Feenstra) Dilts of Mission Hill and their children-Allie Dilts, Gavin Swanson, Abby Swanson, Kaden Feenstra and Kyra Feenstra; nine great nieces and nephews; and special friend Lisa Bordeaux and his daughters by heart and love: Bia, Sharon and Alana.
Dan was preceded in death by his brother Michael, uncles: CJ Havranek, Emanuel Havranek and Robert McGuire; cousin Sue Lulf; and his beloved friend, Jeremy Lhotak.
