David Grant, 52, of Wagner

Funeral services were 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in the church cemetery. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

David Eli Grant was born November 16, 1959 in Wagner, Sd to Walter and ALice (Rabbit) Grant. David entered the Spirit World on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Wagner Community Hospital, due to a massive heart attack. He attained the age of 52 years, three months and one day.

David was the eldest son of the family and he enjoyed looking after and helping with his two younger brothers, Noah and Byron, and sister, Rosie. When David was eight years old, his family moved to Gregory. David attended school in Gregory. He graduated from Gregory High School in 1979. On November 21, 1981, David was blessed with his only child, a daughter, who he named Nancy Malvina Grant. On June 24, 1993, he married Jerdie "June" Morris in Gregory. In 2004, David and June moved to Wagner, SD.

David will be remembered for his love for his family and friends. He loved being a grandfather and was looking forward to arrival of his new granddaughter in June. David enjoyed hanging out with his family and his many friends laughing, joking and telling stories. He liked to watch football and cheer for his team, the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and occasionally doing bead work.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, June of Wagner; daughter Nancy Grant and granddaughter, Savannah Antelope, of Ephete, WY; brothers: Noah Grant of Wagner and Byron (Camden) Grant of Brimerton, WA; sister Rose (Scott) Salmen of Wagner; his nieces and nephews, grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents and step dad, Harold Kazena.
