In remembrance of 'Aupao Wich'aphi W'in "Morning Star Woman", Dawn Marie Zephier lived in Lake Andes, SD for the last month of her life, but always called Marty, SD "home." She passed away in the early morning July 8, 2020 with her kids by her side at age 48. Born on August 29, 1974 in Freeman, South Dakota. Raised by her Father Deacon Edward Zephier and Audrey Wright-Zephier. Dawn went to school in Marty where she had many friends and sisterly bonds, and was even on student council in 1989. She met Miquel Rivera on August 24, 2016, and lived together in Sioux Falls, Vermillion, and then Las Cruces, NM before coming home to be laid to rest. Dawn is survived by her ten kids; Hunter Zephier, Whitney Greger, and Tayler Greger of Sioux Falls; Keean Greger and Logan Greger of Buffalo, MN; Eric Zephier, Israel Zephier, and Reina Rivera of Las Cruces, NM; Nephi Capetillo-Garcia and Evelyn Capetillo-Garcia of Vermillion, SD; and her eight grandchildren. Dawn was a friend, sister, daughter, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and watching 'The Price is Right' and "Young and the Restless' while drinking her coffee. Dawn always had a strong presence and an infectious laughter. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind beautiful memories. As her health declined she made sure to let her kids and grandkids know she loved them and that she will be with them, always and forever.
