DeLayne "Dee" Beryl Irwin, 84, of Corsica

Funeral services are 2 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at The Lighthouse Church in Wagner, with visitation the hour prior to services.

DeLayne "Dee" was born November 14, 1937 in Cherokee, IA, the son of Ivan and June (Palmer) Irwin. He left this life on May 15, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home in Corsica.

Dee married Carol Huddleson in 1956 and they started their family. Dee was a truck driver for most of his life, after working on dairy farms. They lived in Iowa, South Dakota, Colorado, California and Oklahoma before returning back home to South Dakota, where he bought a home form himself and Carol. This is where he enjoyed making memories with his kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Dee is survived by his wife, Carol Irwin; daughters: Cindy Starrett, Jackie (Bill) Harrington and Kim (Jeff) Davis; sons: Jeff (Bree) Irwin and Chris (Andrea) Irwin; brother: Darvol Irwin; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by his parents; Ivan and June Irwin; son, Marion "Mickey" Irwin; grandchildren: Jessica Davis and Anjel Leah; sisters: Sharon Lyle and Shirley Leines; and niece Berlinda "Missy" Wunder.

Dee will be missed and loved by all who knew and loved him.
