Della Rae Stimpson, 81, of Wagner

Della died Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Presbyterian Manor in Emporia, KS. A Celebration of Della's Life will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Light House Church in Wagner, SD.

Della Rae (Wynia) Stimpson was born on February 10, 1943 to Reimer and Marie (Westra) Wynia in Springfield, SD. Della passed away July 9, 2024 in Emporia, KS. She graduated high school in 1961. After graduation, Della went to Southern in Springfield and received her degree in music.

On December 28, 1963 Della and Edward E. Stimpson were united in marriage in Springfield, SD. To this union, two children were born: Dawn and David.

Della worked at the pork plant in Wagner and helped Ed at his garage. She worked at the Wagner Community School until her retirement in 2007.

Della loved music, gardening, canning, and baking. She also enjoyed her time with family, grandchildren, and her brother Dean.

Della is survived by her husband Edward of 61 years; children Dawn Andersh of Reading, KS and David (Renae) Stimpson of Pickstown, SD; grandchildren: Kyle (Chelsea) Andersh of Wagner, SD, Kayla (Bryan) Raymond of Pamona, KS, Caitlyn and Macee Stimpson of Pickstown, SD; great-grandchildren: Ryder Andersh of Pamaona, KS, Pheonix and Xaylee Andersh of Wagner, SD; and brother Dean Wynia of Dante, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents Reimer and Marie; sibilings: Bill Wynia, Jack Wynia, Peggy Zech, and Marylou Peterson; and great-grandchild Axel Lee Andersh.
