Deloras Olson, 80, of Lake Andes, SD
Deloras died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Private family services are being held. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Deloras Olson was born December 9, 1927 at Madison, SD, the daughter of Fred and Isabel (Gunderson) Habeger. She died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Deloras attained the age of 80 years, eight months and 10 days.
Deloras graduated from Canton High School in 1945. She married Charles "Chuck" Olson in Yankton on July 16, 1949. They lived in Mitchell from 1949 until moving to Lake Andes in 1970. She worked in the Charles Mix County Courthouse Assessor's Office for several years, retiring in 1989.
Deloras was a member of the Red Hat Society and two local Bridge clubs.
Deloras will be remembered for her love of life and for her family. She also was a very good cook.
Thankful for having shared her life are her husband, Chuck of Lake Andes; two sons: Charlie of Pierre and Douglas and wife Roxy of Hardin, MT; three grandchildren: Crystal and husband Jay Dillard; Carie Olson and Chas Olson; one great grandchild, Kyra Dillard; one brother, Jim and wife Dawn Habeger of North Ridge, CA; two sisters: Janet and husband Sam Alderman of Mulberry, FL; and Beverly Weeg of Sioux Falls; and sister-in-law, Barbara Habeger of Banning, CA.
Deloras was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Bob and Don Habeger and a sister, Shirley Hall.
