Dennis "Chaulk" Greger, 72, formally of Wagner

Dennis died Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home in Vermillion, SD. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the YST South Housing Gym in Wagner. Burial will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services will begin Wednesday, January 3 at 7 PM at the YST South Housing Gym

Dennis "Chalk" Greger was born on May 9, 1951 to Fred and Ellen Greger. Chalk attended Wagner Community School and later drove semi-truck for many years. He owned his own business G&G Repair and later started Hilltop Horses with Robert Goulette.

Chalk loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed building and racing cars with his son.

He was a hardworking, well respected man who loved his family and will be missed by all.

Chalk is survived by his children: Jody Zephier, Travis Olson, Christel Zephier, (Kevin) Yolanda Martinez (Leo), Justin Olson, Lindsey Olson, Adam Olson, Jerad Olson, and Tyler Olson. He had a total of 57 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Chalk is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ellen Greger; brothers Leonard, Ted, and Douglas Greger; sister Cassie; sons Terrence and Theron Zephier; and nieces Jody and Jolene.
