Dolores died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston. Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Danzig Baptist Church, rural Avon. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Dolores J. Gaub was born September 16, 1933 at Dimock, SD the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Schoenfelder) Nolz. She died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston.
Dolores attended grade school in Parkston and one year of high school. She went to the Sacred Heart Convent in Yankton at the age of 14. She graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1954.
Dolores married Winston Donald Gaub on September 29, 1956 at Fort Ord, CA. They moved to Germany where he was stationed in the Army. They enjoyed traveling throughout Europe during their time there. Dolores developed many lifelong friendships from her time in Germany. She was very fluent in speaking German and Latin.
Dolores worked as an RN at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for many years. After her retirement, she worked as a private care giver for various families until she was in her 80's. She made her home in the country near Dixon, MO for over 40 years. She loved the outdoors. Dolores was an independent and fearless woman.
Thankful for having shared her life are her three children: Kathy (Rex) Rodenbaugh of Cape Coral, FL, Annette (Mike) Oorlog of Avon, and Brian (Mary) Gaub of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren: Wade (Carrie) Oorlog and their son Adam, Jenna (Drew) Gillogly and their son Graham, and Ariana Oorlog; and two brothers: Mike (LaVelle) Nolz of Sioux Falls, SD and Pat (Dorthey) Nolz of Mesa, AZ.
Dolores was preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen and Alice Schnabel.
