Donald R. Anderson, 91, of Wagner
Funeral services are 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner, with Military Honors. Visitation will be the hour prior to services at the church.
Donald R. Anderson was born September 11, 1925 at Wagner, SD, the son of Chris and Cora (Johnson) Anderson. He died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner.
Don married Marie Moysis on November 3, 1953 at the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church. Don farmed south of Armour for several years. He then started working for the Department of Transportation at the Wagner site and then transferred to Yankton and worked there until he retired. They moved back to Wagner around 2005.
Don will be remembered as being an outgoing man who loved to joke around and have fun. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially women's basketball.
Thankful for having shared his life are several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Marie on February 10, 1994, his parents and several brothers and sisters.
