Donna Andersen, 71, of Ravinia

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation with the family present will be 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Donna Maey Andersen, daughter of William and Doris (Stimpson) French, was born March 22, 1942 in rural Wagner SD. She died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Centennial Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 71.
Donna attended Marty grade school in Marty, SD and Lincoln Heights High School in Los Angeles, CA. She married Alvin (Andy) Andersen on November 30, 1963. Four children were blessed to their union. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She held several positions with various companies that included banking and bookkeeping. She also discovered her love for horticulture, especially beautiful flowers while employed at a greenhouse. She moved back to the Wagner area in 1992 where she was employed by the Fort Randall Casino and retired in 2009. Donna enjoyed fishing and hunting with her children, Indian artwork & beading, genealogy and a love for her family history as well as spending time with her grandchildren.

Thankful for having shared her life are her children: Travis of Steen, MN, Todd of Fairbanks AK, Terry of North Pole AK, Tracie (Darrin) Wallenberg of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren, Ethan & Allysa of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Rose (Leo) Spradlin of Ravinia and one brother, Richard (Julie) French of Wagner.

Donna was preceded in her death by her parents and two brothers, Leslie and William.
