Earl Waterman, 52, of Geddes

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Platte Livestock Market in Platte. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Earl Joseph Waterman was born October 28, 1969 at Wagner, SD, the son of Joseph Earl and Jean (Vanthuyne) Waterman. He died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home in Geddes.

Earl graduated from Geddes High School in 1988. After graduating, he began his 33 year career at Platte Livestock, where he was still working at the time of his passing. All of the people at Platte Livestock were family to him.

Earl will be remembered for his dedication to his work and his love of going to auction sales and dealing in antiques. He also loved to go to Mitchell and stop in to see his mom Jean and step-dad Denny.

Thankful for having shared his life are his mother Jean (Denny) Tillotson of Mitchell, two sisters: Anna (Leonard) Strobbe of Sheridan, WY and Mary (Todd) Wiese of IL; brother Donald Waterman of Tuscon, AZ; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his dad Joseph, brother Timothy, and several aunts and uncles.
