Elsie Blakey, 58, of Omaha
Elsie (Johnson) Blakey was born July 9, 1955 in Wagner. She died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Funeral services are 11 AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Community Center in Marty.
Elsie was born July 9, 1955 to Elizabeth Johnson in Wagner, Sd.
Elsie attended Marty Indian School. She received her high school diploma from Freeman High in Freeman, Sd. She excelled in academics and sports.
Elsie moved to Yankton. She married and had two children, Chad and Coley Blakey. She later moved to Omaha, NE, where she attended Nebraska Indian College. She was employed with ENCOR as a supervisor for many years.
She loved family and enjoyed coming home for wacipi. She loved cooking and feeding people. If she could help she would give you her last. She loved unconditionally.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her son, Chad Blakey; daughter, Coley Blakey; five grandchildren: JaNessa, JaNice, Tia'yre, Tiajha and Mysole; brothers, sisters and special relatives and friends.
