Esther Hall, 93, of Wagner

Esther died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Memorial Services will be 11 AM, Monday, July 7, 2008 at the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Esther C. Hall was born March 18, 1915 in Charles Mix County on a farm west of Wagner, South Dakota, the daughter of Chris and Cora (Johnson) Anderson. She died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Esther attained the age of 93 years, three months and 17 days.

Esther attended a country school through the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Cassius Hall on September 27, 1932 at Armour, SD. They lived in the Ravinia area most of their life.
Esther was a member of the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church and the Eastern Star.

Esther will be remembered as being a very caring and giving person. She was a very good mother and loving grandmother. Esther loved cooking, baking and listening to music.

Thankful for having shared her life are three sons: Neil and wife Doris Hall of Corsica; Dale and wife Marcia Hall and Derol and wife Gail Hall, all of Wagner; daughter-in-law, Lillian Hall of Spearfish; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; two brothers: Jens and wife Eleanor Anderson and Donald Anderson, all of Wagner; two sisters: Margaret Mamula and Alma Roberson, both of Wagner; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband in September of 1963, son Verle in December of 1972, two sisters: Mary Bures and Dorothy Frederick; and four brothers: Marion and Jack Anderson and two who died in infancy.
