Eunice M. Bradley, 81 of Lake Andes
Her funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes, with burial in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner from 12 noon to 5 pm Friday, followed by a 7 pm prayer service at the church.
Eunice Mae Bradley was born January 1, 1928 at Wagner, South Dakota, the daughter of Lewis and Minnie (Kuhlman) Fischer. She died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Eunice attained the age of 81 years, eight months and 24 days.
Eunice graduated from Lake Andes High School in 1945. She went on to Yankton College for two years and received her teaching degree. Eunice taught country school for three years.
Eunice married Dale Bradley on February 18, 1947 at Wagner. They were blessed with a wonderful marriage for 47 years, sharing a very special relationship. Dale died in 1994, and Eunice's devotion to him continued on until her death.
Eunice worked as a secretary at the Extension Services, ASCS Office and Charles Mix Conservation District in Lake Andes for many years.
Eunice will be remembered for her enjoyment of attending the sporting events of her nephews and great nephews and going to car races.
Eunice was a member of First Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary in Lake Andes.
Thankful for having shared her life are two special nephews: Lynn Fischer and wife Sherri of Wagner; Neil Zachariasen and wife Sherri of Freeman; a brother Dean and wife Sylvia of Grand Junction, CO; a sister Thelma Zachariasen of Lakewood, CO; and many other nieces and nephews.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Wilbert and his wife Alyce; and brother-in-law Martin Zachariasen.
