Florence Mills, 82, of Wagner

Florence died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral Services are 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Wagner Community Church in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Vitiation will be Friday from 5 PM until 7PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.

Florence Mills was born July 1, 1925 in Charles Mix County, South Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Katie (Bucholz) Giedd. She died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner, South Dakota. Florence attained the age of 82 years, nine months and 19 days.
Florence worked at a motel in Wagner for several years. She was known for separating milk and selling cream in Wagner. She married Oliver Mills on March 18,1955 in Tyndall, SD. Together they farmed south of Wagner. Oliver died in 1977.
Florence was a member of the Wagner Community Church. She was baptized by Rev. Robert Roberts on August 15, 1976.

Florence will be remembered as being a very loving and caring woman. She enjoyed shopping and collecting angels.

Thankful for having shared her life are her two sons: Don Mills of Thurman, IA and John and wife Sandra Mills of Wagner; one granddaughter, Shelly Mills of Mitchell; three step granddaughters: Priscilla (Andy) Semmler of Mitchell; Irene Stevens of Mitchell and Connie (Terry) Crater of Mitchell; one step grandson, Doug Arnold of Des Moines, IA; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter and three brothers: Raymond, Melvin and Robert Giedd.
