Gary Antelope, 52, of Lake Andes
Funeral services were 2 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Cedar Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Gary Lee Antelope was born August 20, 1961 at St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD to Forrest James and Catherine Marie (Powers) Antelope. He journeyed to the Spirit World Thursday, May 29, 2014 at his home in rural Lake Andes.
Gary attended school at Pickstown up to the eighth grade.
He loved to cook, sew, bead, make star quilts and many other talented crafts. He was a very loving person that was always cleaning, playing cards, puzzles, word finds, always had a joke to make you chuckle.
He had an Arabian Appaloosa horse that he loved dearly and named "Moldy!"
During his lifetime, he worked at IHS as the Property and Supply Clerk and the Yankton Sioux Travel Plaza as a cashier. He made many friends along the way and always had a smile on his face.
He leaves to mourn three sisters: Joyce (Louis) Golus, Mary (Nick) Stotz and Delores Antelope; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and relatives.
He is joined in the spirit world with his mother, Catherine, father Forrest; three brothers: Gilbert, Edward and Darrell; and many other relatives. Gary will be missed and loved greatly.
