Gerald Thomas Andersh, 55
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial is in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 5 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner, followed by Rosary/Wake services at the Assumption Church in Dante at 7 PM.
Gerald Thomas Andersh was born December 29, 1961 at Wagner, SD, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Swatek) Andersh. He died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Banner Baywood Hospital in Gilbert, AZ.
Gerald graduated from Wagner High School and Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City, SD. In 1982, he married Sheri Meisenhoelder in Tripp, SD. He worked various lumber and construction jobs. Gerald was very proud to have built his first home for his family in Prescott Valley, AZ. He was also a compliance officer for the Division of Occupational Safety and Health of Arizona.
Gerald will be remembered for his love of hunting, 4 wheeling and the Denver Broncos. He loved playing board games and NEVER lost. He was a very neat and organized man. His son claims he was the hardest working man he has ever known.
Thankful for having shared his life are his two children, Nathan (Stephanie) Andersh of Ellensburg, WA and Leticia (Ryan) Clausen of Waverly, WA; two grandchildren, Brynn and Brooke Andersh; parents Richard and Dorothy Andersh of Wagner; two brothers Ralph (Penny Walrath) of Avon and Mark (Staci) of Chino Valley, AZ; four sisters: Christine (Ronald) Kokesh of Wagner, Julie (Cletus) Wiechmann of Wagner, Terese (Jay) Wunder of Wagner and Dana (Eric) Thompson of Brandon; brother-in-law Keith Nace of Sioux Falls; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gerald was preceded in death by his sister, Joleen Nace, maternal grandparents Agnes and Henry Swatek, paternal grandparents Helen and William Andersh, uncles Norman Andersh, John Swatek, Woody Wyman, Bill Reeves and Johnny Broderick, aunts Mildred Cuka and Sandee Swatek, and cousins Curtis and Kevin Swatek.
