Obituary

Funeral services were 2 PM, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in the church cemetery, with military honors. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Glen A. Gravatt, Age 69, passed away at Wagner Community Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Glen was born on Feb. 3, 1939 in Big Bend, SD to the late Ambrose & Rosalie Gravatt. He was the 3rd oldest of nine children. He had 5 brothers: Lester, Frank (deceased), Bill (deceased), Lyle & Lenny. He had 3 sisters: Carol, Karen & Sherri.

Glen joined the U.S. Marine Corp at 17 years old. In August of1972, Glen and Olemae meet at Fort Thompson Pow wow.

Glen's favorite past time was cooking and playing bingo. He also enjoyed working outdoors, making crafts, telling life stories, playing in his garden & fixing things around the house.

Glen leaves behind to mourn his wife, Ole Mae Gravatt, of Lake Andes; children: Rose, Lana, Eric, & also three children from prior marriage; Frank, Tony & Glendon.; grandchildren: Josh, Maria, Brandi, Tana, Desare, Ryan, Gunnar, Tommy, Damion, Laela, Rizon; three sisters: Carol, Karen & Sherri; three brothers: Lester, Lyle & Lenny; also many nephews, nieces & friends.
