Harold W. Cavier, age 82 of Ravinia
Harold passed away on March 27, 2013 near Corsica, SD. He was born November 3, 1930 in South Dakota, the son of Otto and Viola (Raabe) Cavier.
He is survived by his brother, Merle (Jan) Cavier; sister-in-law, Judy Cavier; nieces and nephews: Marcie (Kelly) Kirby; Michael (Angie) Cavier; Tim Cavier; Bruce Cavier; and Renee (Steve) Sexton; eight grand nieces and nephews: Katelyn; Raven; Tyler; Jacob; Colton; Elizabeth; Emily; and Mykalia (born 5/28/2013); numerous cousins, extended family members and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Viola (Raabe) Cavier; brothers: Verlin and Paul Cavier; nephew, Paul Cavier, Jr.; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Harold spent his entire life in the Ravinia area, except when he was in the Army. He was a mechanic for many years. His passion's were gardening and photography. Harold lived his life to the fullest and the way he wanted to. He had help from the county and numerous friends in order to spend his time in his home where he lived for over the last 40 years.
The Cavier, Raabe, Sexton, and Kirby families would like to extend our thanks to the citizens of Charles Mix County and Douglas County for their help in searching and finding Harold who was reported missing and subsequently found May 1, 2013. We are trying to gather family and were awaiting the arrival of Mykalia to say good-bye to Harold.
We will hold a memorial at a later date this Summer. More information to follow.
