Harriet Penner, 74, of Wagner
Harriet died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Cedar Presbyterian Church, rural Wagner. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wake services were Thursday and Friday at the church. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Harriet was born July 11, 1939.
Harriet was Treasurer for 21 years at Cedar Presbyterian Church and a respected Elder of the Yankton Sioux Tribe.
Harriet was preceded in death by her daughters, Beverly Penner Madsen and Lisa Penner-Demetroules; son, Russell Penner; her parents; and many brothers and sister, Elsie Carey.
She is survived by her husband, Stanford Penner; sister Loretta Primeaux; grand daughter's: Kelli Penner, Amber Madsen, Ashlee Penner and Shayla Penner; great grandchildren: Sierrah Penner, Daniel Scholtes III, Nathaniel Scholtes, Kiannah Scholtes, Heavenly Verdugo, Andre Penner, Ieearzah Dog Soldier, Christean Felix Jr., Donny Aspey Jr., Briannah Aspey and Brand Lee Aspey.
