Obituary
Harvey Udlinek, 78 of Lake Andes
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Geddes United Methodist Church in Geddes, SD, with Rev. Rick Hazen officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, rural Geddes. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home of Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Harvey Udlinek, son of Vincent and Esther (Elsworth) Udlinek, was born October 24, 1931 on the family farm northeast of Geddes. He died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Harvey attained the age of 78 years, nine months and 30 days.
Harvey attended country school through the eighth grade. He farmed all of his life northeast of Geddes with his mother and sister, Florence. Harvey was a hard worker and even dug a well by hand to water the cattle. He entered the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner on March 6, 2009.
Harvey will be remembered for his enjoyment of walking and his love of reading.
Thankful for having shared his life are his sister, Florence Udlinek of Lake Andes and his friends and neighbors.
Harvey was preceded in death by his mother.
