Herman H. Ehrisman, Jr., 75, of Wagner

Services are 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial is in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 Pm until 6 PM at the funeral home.



Herman H. Ehrisman, Jr., son of Herman and Pearl (Adams) Ehrisman, Sr., was born September 20, 1933 at Wagner, SD. He died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Herman attained the age of 75 years, six months and 10 days.

Herman attained an eighth grade education at a country school in the Wagner area. He served in the United States Army from February 1952 to June 1955.

Herman married Shirley Sip on April 4, 1955. Five children were born to their union.

Herman moved around a lot and worked at many different locations at heavy construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns and car racing.

Thankful for having shared his life are his children: John and wife, Nadine of Parkston, Joe of Sioux Falls, and Jeff and wife, Donna of Hutchinson, MN; and JaVon Christensen and husband, Bernie of Magnolia, MN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers: Royal and wife, Javon and Vern and wife, Kay, all of Wagner; four sisters: Leveda Bren of Pierre, Dorothy Jackson of Ellensburg, WA, Pearl Anderson and husband, Robert of Clay Center, NE, and Lou Connelly of Napa, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

Herman was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Lee on September 10, 1970; and a brother, Melvin.
