Irvin Edward Williams, Sr.

Irvin "Eddy" died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his home in Marty. Wake services began Monday at the YST South Housing Gym. Funeral services are 11AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the YST Gym. Burial is in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Irvin Edward Williams, aka Eddie "Bushy" was born December 11, 1954 in Winnebago, NE to Harriet LaRoche and Edward Williams. Eddie was raised by his mother until illness prevented her. Then his Auntie Betty Taylor took him in and raised him with her children. Eddie has one sister, Mary Zimmerman Bates and had one brother, Joe Zimmerman.

Eddie married Reeta Hare in 1971 and to this union came a son, Charles Edward. Charlie gave Eddie three granddaughters: Jamie, Amanda and Alexis; and nine great grandchildren.

In 1991, Eddie met Claudette Holiday and later married her and her family in 1992. Although they are not blood related, Eddie claimed Victoria, Terra and Solomon as his children and they loved him back just as much. Eddie loved all 20 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren that he and Claudette shared.

Eddie was employed by MIS for 19 years as a security guard/bus driver. Eddie received his AA in Human Services from Ihanktonwan Community College in 2000. Everyone loved Eddie for his good sense of humor and his generous nature. He was so loved and will be missed even more. Eddie passed away December 19, 2015 at his home in Marty surrounded by loved ones.

Eddie is survived by his wife Claudette; his children: Charles, Victoria and Terra; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; Auntie Betty and sister Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe; Solomon and many relatives that went before him.
