Jacob Selwyn, 8 month old son of Priscilla Selwyn and Jesse Johnson

Jacob died Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home in Sioux Falls. Funeral services are 10 AM, Saturday, April 28 at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Burial is in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Greenwood. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Jacob Brian Selwyn (Johnson) was born to Priscilla Selwyn and Jesse Johnson in SIoux Falls on August 1, 2017. He joined his sisters: Mersayis, Merseeaye, MerieOna, Willow and Jessica and his brothers: William, Ohitika, Michael, Jesse Jr., Issac, and HaKena.
Jacob was loved dearly by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. His paternal grandparents Brian & Tracy Selwyn (Potomac, IL); great-great grandmother Cheryl Selwyn of Wagner; his grammas, Shelley Selwyn of Sioux Falls, Shannon O'Connor of Anchorage, AK; his maternal grandmother Yvette LeRoy of Wagner; and his great gramma Linda Ridgeway of Wagner.
Jacob had the most beautiful smile that could melt your heart and could make you fall in love with him. He was a very happy baby who loved to be cuddled and smothered with hugs and kisses. He loved playing in the bath tub splashing around and bouncing in his jumper. His favorite words were "da-da-da" and "my mom, my mom". Snack time was always a treat with his favorite food-applesauce.
He will be dearly missed by all his family, especially his sister Mersayis, who cared for him like a "lil momma". He was also loved and cared for by Joe Quiles who raised him as his own.
He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Johnson Sr. in August of 2017, his auntie Kathleen Johnson, and his paternal grandparents Winnifred Johnson and Clemet Blaine.
