James Pravecek, 57, of Wagner
Memorial services are 1 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner with Pastor Gene Haug, officiating. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
James David Pravecek was born on January 3, 1952 to George and Louise (Kalkus) Pravecek at Tyndall, SD. He died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Jim attained the age of 57 years, eight months and five days.
Jim graduated from Tyndall High School in 1970.
Jim married Lois Mutschelknaus on December 20, 1974 at Martinus Lutheran Church in rural Utica, SD.
Survivors are his wife, Lois, Wagner, SD; four children: Jesse Pravecek, Wagner, SD; Nicholas Pravecek and special friend, Tabitha Haberstroh, Rapid City, SD; Elizabeth and husband, Dustin Brandt, Avon, SD; and Rachel Pravecek, Wagner, SD; two brothers: Terry Lee and wife, Terry Lynn Pravecek and family, Sioux Falls, SD; Virgil and wife, Connie Pravecek and family of Tyndall, SD; sisters-in-law: Mary Magstadt, Omaha, NE and Marlys Mutschelknaus, Wagner, SD; brother-in-law, James Mutschelknaus and special friend, Samm Schmidt, Black Hawk, SD.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Erna Mutschelknaus.
