Jesse C. Guyton, 52 of Wagner
His funeral service was 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Ponca Cemetery, Ponca, NE. Wake services were held at the church Thursday and Friday. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of the arrangements.
Jesse Guyton was born November 21, 1961 to John and Beverly (Picotte) Guyton in Yankton, SD. He died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Jesse grew up and attended school in Yankton, enlisted in the US Army and lived in Minneapolis, MN before returning to live in Yankton, Niobrara, NE and most recentley in Wagner. Jesse worked in construction in SD and MN. He worked at the Fort Randall Casino. He attended All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Beverly Chapman, Step-father Kenny Chapman, beloved nieces and nephews; aunts: Barb Taylor, Elizabeth Iquo Guyton, Jeanette Guyton, Janet Monroe, Janice Panford, Chamundi Beverly Guyton, Rosemary Soyini Guyton; uncles: Ronnie Picotte, Joseph Guyton, Robert Guyton, Seitu Jones and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Will Guyton, Jr., brother John Will Guyton III, uncles: Raymond, Aljoe and Douglas Picotte, Eugene Gary and James Guyton.
Jesse was generous, kind, trustworthy, loyal and gentle. He liked good food, especially his dad's barbeque and German Chocolate Cake. His quiet presence will be missed.
May his soul rest, forever, in peace and in the sweet embrace of God.
