Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, April 11, 2008 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty, with burial in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Geddes. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 pm at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner, followed by a 7 pm scripture service.

Joanne Archambeau was born August 11, 1934 at Minneapolis, MN. Her mother, Muriel Skibba and Leo Skibba raised her. She died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Joanne attained the age of 73 years, seven months and 28 days.

Joanne graduated from high school in Pickstown, SD. She married Jeffrey L. Archambeau at Marty, SD on December 18, 1951. Six children were born to their union. Joanne worked as a secretary at Marty Indian School for many years. Joanne became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner on May 18, 2007. Jeff died May 21, 2007.

Joanne will be remembered for her enjoyment of painting pictures, traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thankful for having shared her life are three daughters: Connie and Karen Archambeau, both of Marty; and Patty Archambeau of Mitchell; two sons: Dale "Jeff" Archambeau of Pickstown and Tom Archambeau of Mitchell; three grandchildren: April Truttmann and husband, David of Monticello, Wl; Heather Archambeau and Jared Archambeau, all of Rapid City; four great grandchildren: MaKayla, JoEllen, Amber and Levi Russell Truttmann; one sister, Marian Grooters of Mason City, IA; and relatives and friends.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jeffrey; and daughter, Michelle Archambeau.
